Here's the Story. . .

Autumn and Nicholas Opitz opened Aioli Delicatessen on November 13, 2007. It is the first establishment for the couple.

Autumn (Barber) grew up all over Sonoma County, including Forestville, Sebastopol and Occidental. Nicholas grew up in Casa Grande, Arizona. They each graduated from high school in 1993. In 1999, Autumn and Nicholas each made the move to Montpelier, Vermont to attend culinary school at the New England Culinary Institute, each of them traveling all the way across the country. It was here that the couple met. After two years of culinary school, Autumn and Nicholas moved to Tucson, Arizona where Autumn worked at such establishments such as Linen and Incredible Edibles and Nicholas worked at the Tack Room. After moving to New Hampshire to have their first child Nicholas was working for Via Matta and Radius. After moving back to California, Nicholas established a job with the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, while Autumn created a catering business, catering for such wineries as Woodenhead.

After realizing their dream would be to open their own place, Aioli was born. They took a small place, with no cooking equipment and turned it into something of their dreams. Aioli is small, but the flavor is large. Everything is made on site. The sides vary from day to day, depending on what is available and also on what they think they public would like most. The soup changes every day as well does the dessert.

Aioli also does take out dinners, anything from chicken pot pies, to beef stroganoff, to mixed vegetables in a Indian spiced tomato sauce. Everything is house made and from scratch.

Beer and wine are served as well.
